Delicious Brazilian Lemonade Is Half Drink & Half Dessert

It always hits the spot and is the ideal afternoon snack. My mother would make a pitcher anytime family members came over for a relaxing summer meal,

or when we didn't want ice cream but needed something cold and sweet. If you've never had a glass, it tastes similar to blended lemon Italian ice, but not as sour—and much better.

It gives off Key lime pie feelings in the greatest way. Don't get me wrong, traditional lemonade is fantastic, but Brazilian lemonade is extra exceptional.

YIELDS: 6-8 serving(s) PREP TIME: 5 mins TOTAL TIME: 10 mins Cal/Serv: 229

INGREDIENTS: 5 limes (or 4 if large), plus lime wheels for serving 3 1/4 c. cold water 3 c. ice 1 (14-oz.) can sweetened condensed milk

Step 1: Lightly scrub limes, rinse, and pat dry. Cut the lime ends off, then quarter them. Remove and discard the white veined inside.

DIRECTIONS:

Step 2: Transfer limes to a blender. Blend in the cold water until largely smooth and blended, which should take approximately a minute.

Step 3: Strain through a fine-mesh sieve and discard the pulp. Wipe out the blender.

Step 4: Return lime juice to blender. Blend in the ice and milk until the appropriate consistency is obtained, which should take around 1 minute.

Step 5: Divide lemonade among glasses. Garnish with lime wheels.
